Gibson Style 7 - Top Tension Model

The Style 7 is meticulously constructed with a figured maple neck & resonator. The fingeboard is a radiused rosewood fingerboard which is a standard in the top tension series. This is a genuine reproduction of a model which was built in the 1930's by Gibson. The tension hoop and armrest are "top tension" parts, which are exclusive to the top tension series. The head is adjusted from the top of the banjo, by a clock key (included), so that the resonator does not have to be removed. The tone quality is bright, crisp and clear with a great deal of power and volume. The bass end is also very rich and full. The arched fingerboard makes playing effortless. As with all of the high end Gibson banjos, the RB7 includes the pre-war style 3-ply maple rim with the 1930's reproduction tone ring.
