The attention to detail in the construction is very precise and the combination of the custom honey stain and tortoise shell binding are asthetically breathtaking. This is one of the best Weber's that we have ever played as is evident by it's focused and woody tone that resonates from deep within the box. Very little effort is required to pull a pure and clean tone from this incredibly responsive and alive mandolin. The playability is superb with the radiused ebony fingerboard and the solid feel that one would expect from the very best of instruments. The notes just fly out while the left and right hand glide effortlessly across the strings. Another custom feature that adds to this incredible mandolin's uniqueness is the handrubbed flat oil finish on the peghead which eliminates all those hard to clean smudges under the strings. All of these things combine with Weber's solid cast tailpiece, traditional brekke bridge, bone nut, and Grover tuning machines to produce an exquisite looking and sounding mandolin that will hold up against the best of them.
